Pre-Order Whole Hog Now

Eating high on the Whole Hog

Winter and spring are for eating high on the hog

We process pre-paid USDA orders in March & April. I simplified the ordering and tightened the price to a pre-paid $1200 for a whole hog. So, you’ll have chops, roasts, natural sausage and real smokehouse bacon. And it is now a guaranteed price instead of waiting for the weights and processor charges. If you want to skip USDA labeling, we can complete your order sooner.

Classic option: Order the whole pork butterflied for pit, grill or your smoker and save $200!

Brightest after the storm

It was a dark and stormy day and night. A friend stayed over, cooking shish-kabob on a hickory fire between squalls. First time that I recall him not braving the storm to be able to wake up at his own home. We lucked out: no trees or fences or animals down.
Running water sheds across the property in a few places on its way to the Coldwater River headwaters and Audubon marsh and springs. The running water is neglected by cattle and hogs if they are not getting a drink. Dog trod through. The Sun is out, warm in refreshingly cool air.
Black and brown cattle rest and lounge in groups. Cue a cluster of running piglets, looking like teacup sized elephants with beautiful wrinkles. They follow the heard and regularly dart off and return to on their own.
We’re going green. Life abound in spring.

He’s looking for opportunities.
